Pastoral Care

BNBMC Chapel

Much has been written about the connection between spirituality and healing.

To see evidence of this firsthand, you need only to come to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and watch the interaction between our patients and long term care residents and our chaplains.

The Pastoral Care Department at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is vital to the healthcare team. It provides a diverse range of spiritual services to all those the Medical Center serves. Offering spiritual assistance that is prayerful, professional, and committed to serving the patients, their families, and staff members.

Besides being a leading provider of mental health and addiction services, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is New Jersey’s largest hospital and licensed nursing home in the state. Our Pastoral Care Chaplains minister to thousands of people year-round. They provide spiritual inspiration and conduct religious services for the more than 450 long term care residents who call Bergen New Bridge their home.

The Foundation at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center raised money to renovate the antiquated chapel space into a modern, multi-denominational, spiritual hub appropriate for the needs of our diverse patient and long term care resident population.

This goal was right in line with the mission of The Foundation at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, an NJ 501 c3 not-for-profit organization.
