Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Foundation Makes a Major Donation to the Center for Comprehensive Addiction Treatment (CCAT)
The Foundation committed significant funds to continue the development of CCAT at the Medical Center
The Foundation at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center donated $200,000 to the Center for Comprehensive Addiction Treatment (CCAT). CCAT is a new collaborative approach combining high-quality substance use disorder treatment, recovery services, and supportive comprehensive healthcare. The Center provides programs and services for all the stages and phases of a patient’s journey to address their substance use disorder and establish a supportive recovery plan. CCAT stabilizes, treats, and refers patients to appropriate resources using a collaborative approach.
The Foundation announced the donation at the ribbon cutting ceremony for CCAT. Lou Weiss, Foundation Chair, Donna Abene, Board Trustee, and Marion Troise, Executive Director of the Foundation presented the check to Deborah Visconi, President & CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, and senior medical staff affiliated with CCAT.
“We appreciate the Foundation’s continued generous support of the Medical Center and innovative programs like CCAT,” said Visconi. “The Foundation’s work allows us to support innovation, enhance our campus and facilities for employees, patients and residents, and provide vital programs to the communities we serve.”
“Today is a great day, when we can see the direct impact, the Foundation has in providing essential services to those who need them most,” said Weiss. “The Foundation continues to grow, and we encourage anyone who wants to be involved to reach out to us if you want to be a part of the renaissance here at Bergen New Bridge.”
CCAT’s Centralized Screening Center is the first stop for a patient being admitted to CCAT which increases access and eliminates barriers to care. The team at CCAT determines the optimal next step for the patient. For some, this will mean admission to our Withdrawal Management Unit. For those admitted to this unit, they can then move to either a short-term inpatient unit, the Evergreen Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program, Medication-Assisted Treatment, or other treatment option.
