"All About Bergen New Bridge Medical Center!
While the world has been hyper-focused on the pandemic for the last two years, some in our local community still aren’t familiar with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, a community leader in public health since 2017. Located in Paramus, the Medical Center is both the largest hospital and licensed nursing home in NJ and the fourth-largest publicly-owned hospital in the nation.
In addition to its core services of behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, long-term care, and acute care, Bergen New Bridge is a full-service hospital with a 24/7 emergency department, surgical suites, physical rehabilitation, pharmacy, laboratory, radiologic services (including digital mammography), veterans’ services, and more than 26 medical specialties available through its Ambulatory Care Center.
During this unprecedented time, Bergen New Bridge has also been a vital hub in our community for Covid testing, vaccination, and treatment. Bergen New Bridge and its dedicated staff have led the way in the fight against the virus. They performed more free COVID-19 tests than any other hospital in the County. Bergen New Bridge also offers a fee-based COVID-19 travel test by appointment for those who require a quick turnaround and medical documentation before embarking on foreign travel.
