What Is Respite Care?

Respite Care is a method of support or relief for those caring for a loved one at home.

Respite Care at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center welcomes your loved one for a short term stay as a guest in our Long Term Care Division. We will provide tender loving care to your loved one and give you a chance to take care of personal business, go on vacation, or just relax and rejuvenate, so you may then return with a brighter outlook and renewed energy. We believe that each caregiver deserves this break, and so does the person for whom he or she cares.

Length of Stay

Our length of stay is flexible to accommodate your needs. Licensed nurses and certified nursing attendants will provide care 24 hours a day.

Accommodations

Your loved one will be the temporary guest of the staff on the ninth floor of Building Eight, one of our beautiful, newly renovated units in the Long Term Care Floors. In our day/dining/activity room, our guests enjoy socialization, activities, and meals in a bright, airy, and cheerful atmosphere. Breathtaking views of the pine trees and rolling lawns of the hospital grounds can be enjoyed from practically every room. Guests are invited to stroll the lawns and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
