Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Services

Our acute and sub-acute inpatient units provide intense treatment for patients who are an imminent danger to themselves or others or display high potential for such behavior.

The treatment program encourages active patient participation in identifying and working on specific problems, goals, and daily tasks. The schedule includes structured groups, skills training, recreational therapy, and occupational therapy within a cognitive behavioral and motivational enhancement model of care.

Recreational and occupational therapists complement the multidisciplinary treatment team of psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses. Family sessions, when indicated, are an essential component of each patient's individualized treatment plan.

Discharge planning begins on admission and focuses on providing effective treatment and support when it is time to be discharged from this level of care.
