Ambulatory Care Center
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is unique in offering more than twenty-five Ambulatory Specialty Services to Bergen County and its surrounding communities. These outpatient services offer a wonderful convenience to see your doctors, complete lab work, and fill all your prescriptions at the same location.
If you need to schedule an appointment with our Ambulatory Care Center for medical & specialty, radiology, laboratory, cardiology, or respiratory services, call the Central Scheduling Department at 201-225-7130 from 8 am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday.
All other areas require referrals from our Ambulatory Care Center. Visiting the Ambulatory Center first allows us to refer you to the correct specialist and have the necessary testing and procedures before seeing the specialist.
Please be prepared to provide the following patient information when you call:

- Date of birth
- Reason for appointment
What if you don't have insurance? You may be referred to the Credit and Collection Department to determine if you qualify for financial assistance.

How do I make a Medical Outpatient Department appointment?
You can schedule an appointment with our Ambulatory Care Center for medical & specialty, radiology, laboratory, cardiology, or respiratory services. You may call the new Central Scheduling Department 201.225.7130 between 8:30am and 5:30pm, Monday -Friday. When you schedule an appointment, we will advise you to contact Patient Financial Assistance before receiving services.
How do I register for a medical outpatient appointment?
The Ambulatory Care Center will complete your registration. The Registration Representative will obtain insurance information as well as demographics. After registration, you will be given paperwork and directed to the Ambulatory Care Center.
What do I need to bring to register for an appointment?
- Identification
- Proof of residency (driver's license or current bill showing address)
- Proof of Insurance
- Such as Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. The Medical Center cannot accept HMOs unless we are pre-approved as a provider by your HMO.
What if I don't have insurance?
Our Patient Financial Assistance team will work with you to see if you qualify for financial assistance.
Who will take care of me?
Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses are responsible for coordinating your care. Attending physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners provide direct care and oversee your treatment plan in the Ambulatory Care Center. The outpatient support staff will schedule follow-up appointments.
