Shahan Sibtain, MD, serves as Chief Psychiatrist Ambulatory Services and Associate Residency Program Director at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Paramus. He has experience in treating patients with a wide range of mental illnesses and firmly believes that relationship-centered care is an essential contributor to the patient’s healing process. In addition to this, Dr. Sibtain specializes in electroconvulsive therapy for treatment-resistant depression and psychosis.

Dr. Sibtain completed his residency in general psychiatry in the Bergen New Bridge Medical Center’s Psychiatric Resident Program after obtaining his medical degree at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences, India.

Dr. Sibtain is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, and during his residency, he was given the Resident Recognition Award by American Psychiatric Association. He has published several articles in psychiatric journals and received the best paper submitted by New Jersey Psychiatric Association.
