Lara Addesso, MD, is the Medical Director of The Center for Eating Disorders and Body Positivity and is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. Dr. Addesso develops individualized care plans driven by her integrative approach to treatment. Her approach emphasizes patient education, shared decision-making, and continuity of care. Dr. Addesso specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and medication management to address various conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, OCD, and eating disorders. 

Dr. Addesso received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. She pursued a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital. She has published peer-reviewed studies and trains medical students and residents.
