Acute Medical Care

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center provides expert inpatient adult medical and surgical care and a full range of substance abuse treatment, including an inpatient medical detox program. Our comprehensive clinical services include emergency care, critical care services, diagnostic laboratory and radiology, and a growing Ambulatory Care Center with more than twenty-five comprehensive care services.

Emergency Department

Our eighteen-bay department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides a full range of emergency medical and psychiatric treatment. An on-call scheduling system and a Psychiatric Emergency Screening and Evaluation program support our highly skilled staff of medical and nursing professionals.

Critical Care Services

ICU/CCU care involves the expertise of a broad group of medical specialists and multi-disciplinary team members coordinated under the professional oversight of an Intensivist.

Medical Surgical Services

Medical Surgical Services provides you with the best quality care and outcomes possible. Our multi-disciplinary team of health professionals works with you from admission through discharge to deliver efficient and quality care for you. The Medical Surgical Unit also serves patients improved from treatment in our critical and intensive units. Patients on this unit may also be recovering from surgeries or other medical diagnoses. Our team of physicians and nurses will guide you on your road to recovery and back to good health.

Surgical Services

Our services also include a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Upon discharge, you receive post-operative teaching, discharge planning, and follow-up evaluation from our clinicians in the surgical suite.
